Search & Rescue
Sam honing in on human scent
during a demo problem.
I love this shot!  Even though it is blurry,
you can really tell how much Sam loves
to do this kind of work.  This picture was
taken from the "victims" point of view as
Sam comes in to make his find.

I train with Search and Rescue Dogs of Maryland (SARDOM).  Minerva was intended as my
primary Search Dog, but she didn't work out and is now enjoying the good life as the household
pet and love-bug.  When I realized that Minerva wasn't going to work out, I gave Sam a try and
he has excelled in Airscent work.
He is now a NASAR Canine SARTECH II certified Airscent Area
Search Dog!

THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR VOLUNTEER WORK WITH US!
A formal photo that was taken at the
SMAWL Animal Fair in May 2008 with
both Inara and Sam.

Inara is no longer
training for SAR.
Though she liked to go out and
track, she wasn't interested enough
to work consistently.  She now
enjoys the "lazy" life of sleeping on
the couch at home.
