About Good Dog! K9 Obedience

Growing up, I had always had a strong passion for animals.  I was fortunate to have understanding parents that accepted all of the critters that I brought into our home. 

Though I love animals, I have a passion for dogs that no other animal has compared to.  When I got what I consider my first dog 7 years ago, he came in the form of a Yellow Lab.  I had had dogs growing up, but I didn't know the first thing about training them.  So when Sam was given to me, I researched dog training with fervor.  Sam was a willing and patient guinea pig for me too.  By the time he was 7 months old, he knew all of his basic obedience and was a certified Therapy Dog.

It wasn't until several years later, when the team leader of a local Search & Rescue team that I belonged to pointed out to me that I had a knack for teaching.  And even then, it took me quite some time before I was willing to admit to myself that he was right.  That's when I opened the doors to Good Dog! K9 Obedience.

Since then, I have added several more amazing dogs to my family.  They each have their own fantastic personalities that add to the enrichment of both my husband's and my life.
